The Moment of Inertia tool
is designed to determine the moment of inertia of various objects by the oscillation method. The oscillations occur due to the torque exerted on the spiral spring mounted on the shaft of the tool. By measuring the oscillation intervals and using calculations, and by determining the spring constant beforehand, the moment of inertia of an object being observed can be known. This tool is a complete set of tools for conducting experiments. Simple design, using high quality springs and ball bearings to reduce friction. Equipped with a pointer and a transparent degree scale disc for easy measurement. The test object can be fixed firmly in the object case, resulting in an accurate experiment. Oscillation interval measurement can be done manually using a stopwatch or, for better accuracy, you can use Timer Counter AT-01 and light gate ( photogate) which can record up to 20 measurement data. Test object: solid cone, solid ball, solid cylinder, hollow cylinder, aluminum disc, barbell (drumbell) .
